WHAT the F*$K Was BET THINKIN!!

Ok...What the F#$K was BET thinkin wit this AWARD SHOW. I understand you all did your best to make a tribute (a wonderful tribute I am add) to the Great Late Michael Jackson...but come on....Here is my list of the HIGH'S & lows of the BET 09 Award Show

Highs

1) THE GREAT LATE MR. Michael Joseph Jackson tribute--- I was pleased with the tribute to MJ. It seemed everyone tried their best to incorprate him in some way.

2) The Female Performances- I was extremely pleased with all the female performances. They each choose songs that fit the occiasion. It was really Classy.

3) Jamie Foxx- I would like to give him a big round of applause. I could not stop laughing at everything he did. He was an wonderful host. I was shocked when he was also singing (we will get to that later). Trey & I busted out laughing when he was doin the moonwalk because he tripped but covered it up well

4) Sheneneh & Wanda Movie-Again Pure laughter from 2 of the most talented ppl I know. Trey & I could not stop laughing at the Movie. If it went into a real movie-I think everyone would go see it

5) Tyrese, Johnny Gill & Trey Songz performance for The O'Jays- I was so blown away.. Great job fellows

6) Keith Sweat- I was SOOOOOOOOOO Shocked to see Keith Sweat! I had to call my mother...He too knew the right things to sing

7) Last but not Least-THE O'JAYS~ Now for these Men to be "late in age" I must say they really performed. Unlike some others (keep reading) The O'Jays knew there Strenghts & Played them WELL! They sung songs that everyone could relate to & sung them well. Their outfits were on point. They had on nice summer colors. Their speech was GREAT & ENTERTAINING! When they started sing...even Trey started singing to me...

8888888AND FOR THE low's***********************************

1) NEW EDITION OPENING~ Ok who in the WORLD let them OPEN? They way they performed I would not let them open a can for me. My Honey refer's to them as OLD EDITION! WE both agreed they should be in the audience looking.... They messed up the SONG! & THESE SOLO's OMG~ They need to sing SO LOW NO ONE COULD HEAR THEM! They seem like they were all over the place. Not to leave out how they ALL SOUND like THEY WAS OUT OF BREATH! They just kept making me MAD! I was soooooooo HAPPY THEIR PERFOMANCE HAD ENDED! PLEASE OLD EDITION DO LIKE MC HAMMER & WATCH NEXT TIME...YOU WASTED YOUR, BET & MY TIME!!!!

2) JAY Z & the BET official that ok-ed it-YES HE MADE the low list! I understand you have like all this money & everything. Yes you are a great rapper- but dang~ "Thou without sin, cast the 1st stone!" I understand that Chris Brown did do wrong...he admits & is truly sorry for it. If Rhainnia can 4give him (lets keep in mind she was the victim) you should too. You have BEYONCE'~ If he did not put his hand on her...you need to stay out of it....you lost cool points for that one. Everyone has done things in there life that is not approved my society ( Not all your lyrics are rated G heck even PG-13). However CB is trying. It bad because the Jackson Family REQUESTED that Chris Brown PERFORM! In my opinion I would've rather seen C.B. Performance that JAY-Z. ----- THE BET OFFICAL THAT OK-ED the Sh*T---Are you for real? The KING OF POP, ROCK, HIP-HOP, R&B, COUNTRY, ALMOST EVERY TYPE OF MUSIC THAT EXIST FAMILY REQUESTED THAT CHRIS BROWN PERFORM! You needed a BACKBONE & JAY-Z to go Sit DOWN! I know your are wishing you wouldve told him NO now!!!!

3) Tyra Banks--- I love you girl but you def made the low list. I know you dont always have to be dressed up in heelz but you look for lack of better words-unprepared for the awards show. I am glad you got some straight, natural color hair, but whom ever you got to do it---don't let them do it again. They could've flat iron or bump it! Everyone else was soooo FLY~ I was disappointed....

4) Don C & Who ever booked him~ It comes a time in life where you just need to relax & watch the show- Don C this was one of those times...I fell asleep listening to him talk. I do not even know what he was talking about half the time! I felt like I was in school listening to one of my boring professors give a lecture. Heck I have had more excited lectures in biology! He is sooooooo MONOTONE & Boring! & WHOEVER BOOKED HIM~ I can only imagne how the phone call must've went.....you must've been the same person who ok-ed Jay-Z

5) THE C.E.O. of BET- I almost forgot about you~ If DON C was not enough here you come! I can't even make a long comment about you because Me & TREY feel asleep in the early part of your SPEECH! I don't even know if it was long or not.....

I recorded it just to watch it again & LAUGH!!!!

This Thing called LOVE

So yesterday me & my Honey get into this big arugment (well I was agruing he was lookin @ his Phone) about him not wantin to go have dinner with me and my other family (I'm apart of a Sorority). Yes, I know that he is not very social, but I thought because he says he LOVES me;he would do it. Well I was talkin to my bestie & tellin her all the things that have been going on in my life. When we get off the phone, he comes in and was like, "Why didn't you tell me?" Why should I have to tell you if somethin is wrong~ you should know?" I told him it was because I did not think he would care. Well~ He never said he was sorry but he change the tone in his voice. He became very understanding & caring.

He asked what time was I coming back so dinner could be ready...he told me to not rush but enjoy myself...
& as I laid next to him trying to get myself together he does the most unselfish thing a man could do for a woman~ he say's:

" Look I gonna give you my last dollar. Wait-I found some change. Here babe you have have at all"

After all the bad news I had heard, & the agrument we had~ This MAN gave me his last....
Now I have been in love before~ But that was just a different level of love. In the time of a recession, he gave me his last EVERYTHING. It made me realize that not everything is worth fighting about. It also made me realize that he is truly in love with me.

SELF-esteem

This is an important topic. SELF-esteem is the foundation for many different things. It is the foundation for relationships of all kinds. My opinion on it is that "IT is Called SELF-esteem, SELF is the KEY WORD'. I know that may be messed up. I'm not saying that if I know someone has low SELF-esteem I will intentionaly bring it down, but do not depend on me to bring it up. We Americans have started to find a way to "label" every problem someone may have. I think someone sayin " I have low SELF-esteem" to me is really saying " I have to come to the part of my life of SELF-ACCEPTANCE". Yes no one is 100% happy with their bodies, but you can accept the unpreventable. It is apart of life. You go through stages in your life and until you get to a happy content place, you will be on a constant jounery. When I was in middle school, I did not ACCPET myself. A lot of it had to do with that I was (am still am) a plus size female. At the time, I did not truly understand that I was DEVELOPING faster than other girls (I started in the 2nd grade and was C cup by the end of 5th grade). I did under fully understand that my body was maturing. So food became my comfront because everyone told me I was "FAT" & believe it. Now looking back, I wish i would have just accepted the fact, that I was developing faster than most. Everyone has that friend or maybe your the friend who it seem like everyone runs them over. Although they may have never came out and said, " I do not accept myself", every one knows it. It is not low SELF-esteem, it is them not ACCEPTING themselves, so in return, they allow other ppl to define them. It makes me mad because I feel like, do not come to me crying or look down because your face is constantly getting played. You know what it was from the beginning. You allowed it to go on. I'm all for helping people, but I learned, the most important lesson, is that "Before you can truly HELP people, they must first HELP themselves!".
